This is how I hope my engine will look when completed.

I had been collecting materials for the production of this engine for a while. Recently I was able to purchase some components of a part built engine. The components that I received where a part made smoke box, front rims with one wheel spoked, the rear rims & hubs, a tender, axle boxes & guides, crankshaft & horn plates. As you can see from this picture I have now completed the smoke box & chimney.

The second front wheel is now spoked & set up with the front axle & smokebox.

The tender as purchased.

Horn guides, axle boxes & crankshaft as purchased.

The horn plates have now been remade. The axle boxes are now fitted to the horn guides & these are now fitted to the horn plates. The crankshaft bearing blocks are also made.

Front axle & wheels now painted.

Strakes made & temporarily fitted to rim ready for riveting.
